Sleep Apnea Testing

Sleep apnea testing at a facility can be costly, inconvenient, and logistically challenging. One of the most convenient and accurate ways to test for sleep apnea is through the use of an at-home sleep test, such as the ResMed device.

ResMed

We use ResMed to test for sleep apnea in the comfort of your own home.

ResMed provides a portable and user-friendly sleep test that allows you to monitor your sleep and breathing patterns in the comfort of your own home. This device uses advanced technology to provide accurate and reliable results that can help your sleep specialist diagnose sleep apnea and develop an effective treatment plan.

How it Works

How ResMed works.

The ResMed sleep test is easy to use and requires no special training or expertise.

The device consists of three components:

  • A finger sensor,
  • A wrist-mounted device, and;
  • A small patch that is placed on your chest.

The finger sensor is used to watch your oxygen levels and heart rate, while the wrist-mounted device collects data on your body position, snoring, and movements during sleep. The chest patch is used to monitor your respiratory effort and can detect any breathing irregularities that may indicate sleep apnea.

Once you have completed the sleep test, the device is returned to your sleep specialist, who will interpret the results and provide you with a diagnosis and treatment plan.
